At first, I intended to avail this plateform in order to entertain readers but lately, I decided to educate you about a harsh reality that is neglected by more than half. I am here not to spread awareness about animal abuse – that may not interest majority of the readers.
My Views On Animal Abuse
I always had a soft corner for animals however, I never thought of adopting one (nor I was allowed to). Lately, my brother bought a cat but I was afraid, that was certainly a big responsibility. It was horrified that I can hurt her intentionally or unintentionally. It was not easy but before giving up, I started to collect information about certain cat behaviors from internet. My intention was to understand her body language because of the fact that she can’t speak about her problems. Whenever I felt something wrong with her, I instantly Googled or posted on discussion forums and still do the same. People around me think that I’m insane and it’s just my obsession but this is not the case. You know Why? Because I fear Allah.
I’m answerable for everything I do to her. If I ever hurt her unintentionally, I will be responsible. If Allah can forgive a lady for all her past sins just because she provided water to a dog.
Do you really think He(swt) will spare you for animal abuse?
Animal abuse is cruel, just because Allah has entitled us superior (Ashraf al Maklukat), doesn’t mean that we should misuse our powers by torturing His voiceless creature. Instead, you can get rewards for your kindness towards them.
For those people who torture animals by loadings extra weight on them. Donkeys and horses suffer the most. Be careful!
Moreover, shooting animals for the sake of pleasure is forbidden in Islam. This is very common these days. If you are involved in it then stop it at once.
Few weeks ago, hundred of stray dogs were poisoned in Karachi by officials. Over 700 dead bodies were disposed after this operation. Isn’t it inhumane?
Authority is not just responsible of such animal abuse but it is happening on interpersonal level too. Play your part, forget the rest.
The reason I am posting this is just to inform you that ADOPTING ANIMAL AS A PET IS NOT SOMETHING FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT BUT IT IS A RESPONSIBILITY. STOP BEING HARSH TO STREET ANIMALS BECAUSE YOU WILL BE ANSWERABLE FOR THAT.
Don’t look for a specific breed. Don’t buy animals when you can adopt them. If you can’t take it to your home, at least don’t be harsh with them. It is a common practice in Pakistan to hit stray animals especially dogs. You may find a lot of abandoned animals as well that are being tortured.
This poor creature doesn’t need much from you except for your leftover food that you are about to waste, is it too much to ask for?
On the forth coming occasion of Eid ul Adha, I request every reader to be good to your animals. If not for yourself, do it to please Allah. Animals deserve to be loved, they feel pain same like you do. SAY NO TO ANIMAL ABUSE.
