Types of Gaaye and Bakray you may be having

Here we are about to discuss the type of animals we get at Eid ul Azha or Bakra Eid and how they behave. This analysis is about the nature of sacrificial animals.

CHOTA JAANWAR

1 – BOW BAKRA

Bow Bakra (Aandu Bakra) looks a bit rude and is mostly angry. Doesn’t usually care much about others and is horny most of the time. Other people keep their bakras away from a bow bakra fearing potential rape. Apart from that he is quite smelly and rumors circulate of him drinking his own piss. Still this type of bakra is always in high demand and is favorite food for majority.

2 – MASOOM BAKRA

Mostly the Khassi Bakras are termed as Masoom as they are usually dormant. Just like to roam here and there and focus is toward food. They are quite clean and their beauty is always impressive. They even got some standards and don’t usually sit on a place covered with his shit and grass. You will have to clean his place at regular intervals to keep him healthy as he is a bit sensitive and can get sick easily. People even make them wear sweaters if Zil Haj is in winters to protect them from cold.

3 – TAIDEE BAKRA

Taidee bakras are actually midgets. They are super cute and kids always love them. They are the choice of those people who either just wanna fulfill the obligation of Qurbani or those who wanna buy an extra goat for their kids to play. Taidy bakras are the most vulnerable and prone to risks of theft as they are easy to carry and we got even bakra thieves in Pakistan. Still they are aggressive a few times and can hit really hard so you need to be careful.

4 – PAHARI BAKRA

Long hair and long curly horns are the identity of Pahari bakras. They are brought from northern and Balochistan areas to cities and are mostly the choice of our beloved Pukhtoons. These are usually aggressive and immensely powerful. They can drag you hundreds of feet if they can see any thing they like and you are not allowing them to go there. Its a sincere advice not to piss them off or their “Takkar” can really damage you on places you love.

5 – DUMBA

Looks like a teddy bear and is really cute when it is clean. But is really aggressive some times and can hit really hard and will keep hitting you until you run away. Luckily most of them are without horns. Usually quiet heavy and is another favorite choice of Pathans. Best known for its “Dumbay ki Seekh”. Reminds me of Kim Kardashian due to a couple of reasons.

BARA JAANWAR

To be honest I don’t have much of the knowledge about bara jaanwar as I am much of a bakra guy so the blog won’t be showing categories like Sibbi or Sahiwal etc but a bit general.

1 – KHURRANT

This category is dominated by males also known as “BAELS”. Always angry and won’t let anyone touch him. The anger sometimes make him drip saliva heavily throughout the day. But his anger only acts as a challenge for “Mann Chalay Naujawaans” and they are the daredevils who attempt to control the beast are successful a number of times. A lot of people come to see his qurbani for any probable adventure.

2 – MASOOM

This category is dominated by females also known as “BACHIYA”. Mostly so polite and loving that even kids are able to pet her and walk her around. But still its an animal so people needs to be careful allowing their kids to touch her. We all know the female mood swings.

4 – BHAGOORI or BHAGOORA

A bit related to KHURRANT category. This type of gaaye is a lot smart and clever. It will be quiet and calm but you have no idea of the plan. Think of this cow as Michael Scofield from Prison Break. It will be plotting to run away from you and skip the Qurbani. Some of the times it is also heard that Bhagoori ran away at last moment hurting the kasai. They owner always needs to keep an eye on them.

5 – KILLER

These are extreme rare to be found and have killed a few kasai people. They usually don’t show their true face until the moment of qurbani and then their one attack has been fatal for the kasai. Personally I have heard only like 2-3 cases of these types so I am assuming these are rare case.

SAB SE BARA JAANWAR

1 AND ONLY – OONT

The most over rated qurbani animal which attracts a number of visitors due to his huge size and difficult qurbani technique. Normally it calm and not found to be aggressive but accidents have been witnessed during its qurbani.
