On one hand where Eid-ul-Fitr is exciting for girls, Bakra Eid or Eil ul Azha is exciting and hectic for guys. From going to mandi looking for an appropriate sacrificial animal to its Qurbani and distribution 90% of the work is allocated to guys.
Here we are gonna have a look at the challenges guys face on and after the bakra eid day.
1 – Finding the right kasai
Finding a kasai is not an issue but to find a kasai who is really a kasai is the ultimate challenge. On the day of eid everyone is disguised as a kasai whether he is a rickshaw driver or a fruit wala.
2 – Making the Kasai stay at your animal
This is a tough task. Kasai will focus on increasing his earning as much as possible and for that he will be doing whatever he can. He will slaughter you animal and will leave the very moment to another animal. This way you will be hanging for hours thinking what to do.
3 – Dumping the ojhri
This is an easy task still 95% of the guys avoid touching ojhri for no apparent reason except it feels gross. A lot of educated yet illiterate people will throw them on roads.
4 – Siri Paaye
Kasai will make all the meat but will refuse to deal with siri paaye as it is time consuming and involves opportunity cost for kasai. So eventually it comes to the boys of a house to deal with siri paaye and their experiment end up with ruining the siri paaye.
5 – Khaal
Saving the sacrificial hide from party people was almost impossible a couple of years back. If you are yourself from a party then obviously your khaal will will go to your respective party but if you wanted to give it to a madarsa or masjid it could be a difficult task for you to save it from the party guys.
6 – Distribution of meat
Boys are the unpaid butlers and driver of a family so they can only dream of resting after a long tiring day of managing qurbani and ammi will ask guys to distribute the meat between neighbors, relatives and the poor/needy.
7 – Last suffering
When finally when you will lie down to straighten up your back your mom will shout and will ask you to bring roti and cold drinks and dahi and all the stuff like that.
