SO CALLED IQBAL DAY
9th November, the day remembered as a “National Holiday”. Some also remember it as the Birth Day of the national poet Iqbal but mostly for the sake of getting marks because unfortunately it’s the part of our syllabus in the kindergarten classes. Suddenly after 139 years of his birth government decides there should be no holiday on Iqbal Day as it’s not that much important. Okay it makes a little sense that the birth day of our national poet is not important for the present politicians. But the other side shows a much funnier perspective that public is demanding a holiday with such a spirit as they are going to get up early in the morning and read the whole “Baang e Dara” in his honour. In 2016 This day was welcomed with the funny pictures of poet with sub tittles like ” Kal phir chutti hai k nii?? “
Now the day was started like ” Agar chutti hoti to dill bhar k soty”That’s why Iqbal said the following words for the dreamy nation:
It is a serious appeal to the government that sir either you care about the dignity of Iqbal more or worry about the time wasted by an extra holiday more. The thing is that we need a day off because we love our poet very much and cannot live without getting a holiday on his Birth Day.
Sincerely the most patriotic Iqbal fans.
