So the much awaited, our local girl Mahira Khan starrer, movie Raees’s trailer is out. Although the excitement to watch it still prevails but there are some noticeable cliché’s that might dull the hype!
So here the list goes:
AN INFAMOUS DRUG LORD
It appears to be that the plot revolves around a drug lord, performed by The King Khan, his notorious reputation, his expertise in breaking bones and to execute business with no mess, no evidence rule.
A KILL-ALL-EVIL-NOBLE COP
Then of course, to counter all evil in every movie of this genre there is a noble cop. As depicted in the trailer Nawazuddin, the apple of everyone’s eye, plays the good cop and whose presence definitely ups the appeal.
A LOVE INTEREST
Every drug lord has a sexy, beautiful and petite love interest. Business and love go parallel, it dampens the life without them besides sometimes the plot takes twists and turns around these pretty ladies. So let’s see what purpose Mahira Khan serves besides just being Raees Alam’s (Shahrukh Khan) boo.
All criminals were once children who saw bad things happening around them hence the adoption of the crooked path. This particular trailer starts with Raees Alam quoting his mother and how her words inspired him to become what he became!
AN ITEM SONG
No movie is complete without a groovy dhinchak item song, and in this we have beloved Sunny Leone. At the very least the movie is sure to make business if not a hit otherwise.
Routine fight sequels, thorough destruction of public property, the usual resilience to injuries; this movie promises to be packed with, wait, what- ‘terrorism’?
DRUG LORD BEING A MUSLIM
And last but not the least, India faces a hard reality of inhabiting mafia dons who happen to be Muslims. God, we make life miserable for them in every way possible.
Shahrukh Khan coupled with Nawazuddin Siddiqui promise to captivate the audience to their very core, but having watched a multitude of movies based on Mafia Dons and Drug Lords, viewers are surely expecting out of regular. Not to forget special prayers for Mahira Khan!
