A lot of us at one point or another copied some famous star and his style. But failed to realize that we look incredibly stupid in that. Let me remind u some of the trends we followed.
1 – Sweater from Mohabbatein
I know Mohabbatein was a fine movie of its era and we loved its music. But the sweater on SRK’s shoulder was senseless. Why the hell would you carry a sweater on your shoulders if you are not gonna wear it?
Amazing thing is that hundreds of students from my school started carrying the sweater even when it was 35 Centigrade. Another amazing thing is that everyone looked incredibly stupid. I was one of them.
2 – Ansh Gujral walay baal
The character of Ansh Gujral featured in history’s epic drama serial “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” and his style suddenly got so hype that everyone started trying to grow his hair. Trust me on this one everyone looked bhangi while trying to copy him.
3 – Awarapan walay Emraan Hashmi ka style
Emraan Hashmi became favorite of guys due to his reputation as a serial kisser. In Awarapan he was seen in long hair for the first time and people blindly followed the trend. The category of idiots don’t understand that style should suit your face.
4 – Bracelet of Salman Khan
Here I have to tell you a short story. I was in class 9 when Salman’s movie “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” was released. Salman was shown wearing this bracelet in the movie. There was a guy in my class named Tabish who started wearing this bracelet to copy Salman. Later he even started shaving (literally) his forearms till his elbow as sometime the hair got stucked in the bracelet. I don’t think I need to say anything more.
5 – Radhey Mohan from Tere Naam
Now last and the most epic Radhey Mohan hair style. Radhey was shown as a perfect MAWALI still people followed him. Believe me I can’t bear looking at my pics of that era.
Please send us your suggestions if we missed some more trends and styles. We will write episode 2 of this article with credits to you.
Sorry for the long post. Here’s a picture of someone who was followed by our ancestors to make u feel less badabout yourself.
